Purpose:
Swing pipe serves for filling and discharging of vertical steel tanks intended for storage of oil residues with high content of chemical impurities, water and oils.
Arrangement:
Swing pipe includes
– pivot fixed to pipe manifold with bolts through a gasket;
– bottom and side supports to fasten swing pipe on tank bottom or sidewall using pivot;
– intake pipe on moving part of pivot fixed with bolts through a gasket (may be delivered in several parts, which should be welded on site);
– middle pivot fixed to the pipe with bolts through a gasket;
– intake pipe on pivot mating part (may be also delivered in several parts, which should be joined on site);
– intake fitting fixed to the pipe with bolts through a gasket;
– bracket welded with roller to tank top;
– winch on tank outer side connected with shaft to the roller thought bracket welded to the tank with a stiffening plate;
– wire rope ends of which are passed through the roller: one end is fixed to the upper part of intake fitting flange, the other end is fixed to the bottom part;
– intake pipe supports (on tank bottom), on which the pipe rests in horizontal position;
– stop member welded to tank sidewall, which limits rising of the pipe for more than 60°;
It may be completed with a sampler for layer-by-layer sampling.
